Educator Support & Services
At Charter Champions, we are committed to empowering educators in Rochester's charter schools. Our comprehensive support services are designed to enhance teaching effectiveness, foster professional growth, and ensure that every educator has the tools and resources needed to succeed.
Teacher Pipeline Development
We are actively working to repair the broken teacher pipeline by implementing both short- and long-term strategies. Our initiatives aim to make charter schools more attractive to teachers and support staff, ensuring a stable and effective learning environment for students.
Summer Teachers
Institute
In response to the challenges faced by teachers in urban settings, we host the annual Charter School Summer Teachers Institute. This program is designed for newer and transitioning teachers to enhance their teaching skills, improve classroom management, and build a supportive community with fellow educators.
Expedited Certification Pathways
The Roberts Wesleyan University 21-month teacher certification program provides individuals who have approximately 60 college credits the opportunity to earn dual certification in just 21 months. This transformative program, made possible through CCR’s advocacy and support, includes a 25% tuition discount for participants and their family members.
Educator-Centric Programs
Support for Teachers
Through Charter Champions of Rochester’s partnership with Profound Gentlemen, we are bringing dedicated affinity-based support to Black male educators across the Rochester area to improve retention, identity development, and leadership capacity. This initiative is a direct result of CCR’s commitment to creating affirming environments where Black male teachers feel seen, supported, and equipped to thrive.
Support for Schools
Charter Champions of Rochester (CCR) is partnering with local faith-based organizations to provide direct support to charter schools through mentoring, service projects, and community engagement aligned with each school’s needs. These partnerships, formalized with churches across the city, are a result of CCR’s strategic efforts to unify faith communities and education for the betterment of students and families.

Job Board & Talent Network
Our Talent Network connects qualified candidates with charter schools in need of staff. Whether you're a teacher, administrator, or support staff, you can submit your resume to be considered for current and future openings. Charter schools can also post job listings at no cost, helping them find the right talent efficiently.
